Guangzhou City god temple
The City God Temple or Chenghuang Miao is a temple located in Zhongyou Street, Zhongshan Road, Guangzhou, China. The City God Temple in Guangzhou originated in 1370 during the Hongwu era of the Ming dynasty. It was the largest City God Temple in Ming and Qing Dynasty in southern China. It is still the largest City God Temple until now though only Yuda Palace and Bai Pavilion remained. In 1993, this temple has earned itself a reputation for the Guangdong provincial scenic spot. Besides, the temple maintained its traditional folk activities such as burn joss sticks with free charge after it has been well restored in October 30, 2010.
