Peasant Movement Institute
The Peasant Movement Training Institute at Guangzhou, also called PMTI was set up in a 14th-century Confucian temple and now the site on 42 Zhongshan Road commemorates Guangzhou’s revolutionary past. Between July 1924 and September 1926, there were totally 6 classes or terms held in the PMTI. Peng Pai was the Director for 1st and 5th terms, and Mao Zedong was the Director for 6th term or class with the largest size. The magnificent ancient buildings consist of Ling Xing Gate, Pan Pond, Arch Bridge, Da Cheng Gate, Da Cheng Hall, Chong Sheng Temple, two corridors, two verandas, Ming Lun Hall in both sides and other components from south to north.
